More than 100 years after Robert Kershaw was laid to rest in an unmarked grave at Hāwera Cemetery, his descendants will come together to finally place a permanent headstone at his resting place.
The Hura Kōhatu will be more than an unveiling. It will be a weekend for Robert's descendants to reconnect as whānau, share whakapapa and stories, visit places connected to our history, and honour the generations who came before us.
